2016 models

This is the page where you can find links to review of models that will come out in 2016. In these reviews we are forced to give much less technical information, since it is still hard to find the exact data for these models. We will update our articles accordingly and any new information we get on some 2016 models that already have reviews, will be added to an existent review with a #update tag next to it. When it comes to some other information considering competition, vehicle’s history, trivia and the last, but the most important ”What Do Girls Think About…?” section we will be very thorough and try to compensate the lack of technical information.

In addition to the reviews we will give you the list of some of the vehicle that are planed for discontinuation after 2015 model year. These models you are not going to see 2016 model year…Here is the list:

1. Acura TL and TSX

These two models are going to be replaced with new Acura NSX sedan that’s going to become flagship sedan of this auto maker on American market.

2. Honda Insight

This model simply lost a race to more famous Toyota Prius, although it was one of the first hybrid cars on American market.

3. Honda Fit EV and Honda FCX Clarity

These two models came out as limited ones, so its no wonder they will be discontinued after 2015.

4. Honda Ridgeline

Although this was relatively popular truck, it was never considered as such, because of having a cabin that we usually see on SUVs. This truck had large fan base in the States, so we expect Honda will come with its replacement anytime soon.

5. Cadillac CTS-V

This is one of the best cars that’s being discontinued after 2015. It will be replaced with new generation of regular Cadillac CTS .

6. Jaguar XK

With F-Type becoming so popular, simply there is not place for this tourer in Jaguar’s line up.

7. Chrysler 200 Convertible

Only regular Chrysler 200 will be released in 2016, while its convertible version is going to be withdraw, since it wasn’t as popular as GM wanted it to be.

8. Dodge Durango

Since this is one of the most popular big SUVs that comes from Chrysler group, it might be moved to the Jeep’s line up in the future, becoming a first three row, seven passenger model in this division. If not, it would just be another victim of big Fiat mes that came after these two companies merged.

9. Dodge Grand Caravan

Unfortunately this legendary, but little bit outdated model is going to be discontinued after 2015. So only Chrysler Town&Country model is going to represent this manufacturer in this class, which is might going to receive its hybrid version.Another victim of Chrysler and Fiat merge.

10. Nissan Cube

This is one really Japanese looking car, and although it featured some finest design solutions from the Land of the Rising Sun, it never stick to Americans, unlike Kia Soul for example.

11. Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet

Nissan was very brave with this one. This vehicle was basically a crossover with a retractable roof. This vehicle fall in between two classes of cars, making it too big for a convertible and too gentle for a real SUV.

12. Scion xD

Although this vehicle have everything one reliable hatchback needs to have, since its first model came out in 2008, useful updates somehow always miss it. Scion’s line up is going to receive some big changes in next few years so we might even expect this model to come back and fill the gap between iQ and xB models.

13. Toyota RAV4 EV

This was an experimental model, product of cooperation between Tesla that provided its electric engine and Toyota that provided everything else. Like all limited experimental models its production came to an end.

14. Toyota FJ Cruiser

This off-road beast was one of the best one yer releases we’ve ever seen. Toyota tried to revive the memory to one of their most famous history models and they nailed it. We hope that some time in the future FJ will roll again down some forest road.

15. VW Routan

This minivan never achieved popularity of VW Microbus and it is going to be withdrawn to make place for future VW mini-van for American market, that’s going to be produced in Tennessee.
