Next year there’s a big anniversary for Ford and its GT model. It is going to be exactly 50 years since historic GT40 model triumphed at 24 Hours of Le Mans race, and taken the next three titles in the row. This is the right reason for celebration, and how else would Ford celebrate such an anniversary than by releasing a brand new GT model.
Since Acura decided to discontinue its most famous mid-engine supercar, numerous rumors have been spreading about this vehicle’s big comeback. It happened in 2005 and since then Nissan GT-R became the most famous and popular supercar that comes from Japan. Old NSX didn’t offer to much when it comes to performance, but its 270 and 290 ponies combined with its light weight and low curb weight make it one of the fastest supercars on the market.
Audi moved the hole production line of its top supercar models from its old Neckarsulum factory to the new Bollinger Hofe plant that’s finished this year and it is only four mile fr from the old one. New plant is small, but it is much more compact, since in the old factory this vehicle was produced in separate different areas, while in the new one, everything is concentrated into one place. In recent years we’ve seen a lot hybrid supercars and Porsche 918 Spyder is one of them together with BMW I8 and possible Nissan GT-R Hybrid, rumored for 2016 model year.
BMW has one of then widest lineups in the whole automotive world, only thing the certainly do miss is a supercar. Of course they have an I8 model, but that’s a hybrid supercar, made with all-world technology. For some time now BMW is thinking about adding a classic supercar to their line up. Now they announced that their M Series is probably going to be the series in which this new experimental project is going to land.
