2015 Toyota Corolla Overview

This is one of the best selling vehicle in the automotive history, we’re talking about more than 40 million units sold since 1966. when the first Corolla rolled down the assembly line. It went through eleven separate generations and became greater than VW Beetle even.

In US this vehicle is known to be low-cost, trouble-free and fairly basic. With 2015 model Toyota continues to hold this model’s reputation and offers great value for money.

Exterior

This vehicle is sharp looking with nice proportions but it also comes with little bit too bold styling and almost conservative exterior look. Although since the “Iconic Dynamism” design came to life, some new exterior features make this model much more sporty and athletic looking. Since 2014 vehicle also comes with new proportions, longer wheelbase, which is very visible and appreciated when it comes to exterior design.

2015 Toyota Corolla Interior

This is one of the strongest segments of this vehicle. In constructing Corolla’s interior Toyota used some nice materials, that’s hard to see in some other affordable compact and sub-compact sedans. This vehicle outgrow its sub-compact roots, with the longer wheelbase and few more inches in its longitude it can be easily cold a compact car now. This results in 5 additional inches for the rear leg room and in increased trunk space. Although tall people will have a lot of trouble fitting in the rear seat, since it lacks head room in the back. Back seat is little narrow for the regular compact size of the vehicle, making it big enough for only 2 adults and maybe one child. In the middle it comes with a movable armrest, that comes with two cup-holders. One of the best features in Corolla’s interior is the great Toyota Entune infotainment system. This is one of the best infotainment options in the whole class of affordable compact sedans.

Performance

2015 Toyota Corolla comes with two engine options, that are almost the same in size as well as in output. They are both 1,8 liter big with the one in the lower trim levels being able to produce 132 horsepower and 128 pound feet of torque, and the one in the LE Eco trim level for example, being little bit more powerful with 140 horsepower but smaller torque which means that it can’t really go much faster. One of the good things about the second engine is that it comes with much better fuel efficiency. Buyers can choose from six speed manual transmission, that is good enough, and an automatic CVT that feels a little bit sluggish sometimes.

Price

Toyota Corolla is one of the least expensive vehicles in its class, and that is one of its prime features. Base price for 2015 Toyota Corolla is $16,900 and the prices go up to $22,905 for the Premium trim level with automatic CVT transmission.
