2015 Jeep Renegade

At the first look Jeep Renegade has everything. From handsome looks to trail rated badge. It is the first Jeep vehicle completely produced outside United States and it is one of then first products of Fiat Chrysler cooperation. This vehicle is made in Melfi, Italy and its sales in United States and whole wide world already started.

Exterior styling is more than good, it is almost perfect combination of retro Jeep with a slight Italian designer’s touch. When it comes to proportions it is one of the smallest vehicle in Jeep division and it comes with a roof and X lines that we’ve never seen on a Jeep vehicle before, and they fit great into the famous design line of this Chrysler’s Division. It shares some underpinnings with Fiat 500L, so it can compete with both smaller SUVs like Mazda CX-3, or even Mazda CX-5 and subcompact and compact hatchbacks like those from MINI range.

2015 Jeep Renegade Interior

Interior of this vehicle is called Tek-Tonic and it comes with a nice combination of futurism and nostalgia. It comes with a lot of bins, soft touch surfaces and “clamp fastener” anodized accents.

It comes with My Skyline roof system that can make it look like a convertible or at least the old Renegade trim level of Jeep Wrangler. Seating is placed a little bit low, but the cabin offers nice amount of air and space, for at least 4 adult passengers.

It will come with UConnect infotainment system, that has an emergence 911 call option available. It also comes with a smart-phone application, text message reader, it can be turned into a wi fi hotspot and there’s a SiriusXM Trvel Link that can also provide traffic information. All that is fitted in seven inch display, placed on the instrument cluster, which is one of the biggest in its class.

2015 Jeep Renegade Performance

New model is going to come with two engine and transmission options. Base version is going to come with 1,4 liter four cylinder engine. It is rated at 160 horsepower and 183 pound feet of torque and it is going to be paired with six speed manual gear shifter. There’s also a bigger 2,4 liter Tiger Shark four cylinder engine, it will come with 184 horsepower, but with less torque than the first model, only 177 pound feet. This engine is going to be paired with nine speed automatic transmission.

2015 Jeep Renegade Off Road Capability

It comes with a nice amount of off-road capability, which is provided by MacPhercon struts and Chapman-style suspension in the rear. It also comes with Koni frequency selective dumpers and control system with a few different modes to choose, with SelecTrac being the right one for off-road conditions.

It will also come with regular all wheel rive system as well as Active Drive 1 that sends more power to the front wheels when it detect the slip.  Active Drive 2 is the more off-road capable package, and it comes with a 20:1 crawl ratio, it is placed higher than the regular model and it has skid plates, hill descent control and full size spare tire. All these goodies come with a Trailhawk version.
